Sisters of St. Francis

The Franciscan Associate Program is an engaging way for women and men to pray, grow and serve with a religious Community while maintaining their individual lifestyles.

 

The Associate shares in the spirit of the Franciscan Congregation, not as a vowed member, but in association with the congregation for the purpose of personal and spiritual growth through the sharing of prayer, community, ministry and charism.

 

Upon acceptance pre-associates enter a yearlong formation process.  Each pre-associate is assigned an individual companion sister who will journey through the process with him/her.

Candidates attend monthly classes on the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare of St. Francis.  After this initial year, the new associate makes a commitment for three years at a time.
